Eligibility

  • Nationality :Foreign Nationals whose parents are both foreign nationality or Foreign Nationals who has studied whole 12years(1-12) in foreign country
  • Education : Applicants must (or be expected to) have completed high school
  • Language Proficiency Requirement : Applicant must meet one of the following language requirements
    • TOPIK Level 3
    • Completing Korean language course level 4 in KBU or Korean universities
    • Recognition as possessing sufficient proficiency in Korean by KBU

  • 2 photos (3×4cm)
  • Official tranx-x-x-x-script of academic records and certificate of (prospective) diploma
  • Certificate of TOPIK Score
  • Passport of Applicant and ID card of parent’s (Foreign Registration card, if any)
  • Family relationship certificate
  • Proof of employment and annual income of Parents
  • All x-x-x-x-documents should be submitted in English or Korean translated
  • Depending on the home country, some of the above x-x-x-x-documents may be waived or required more x-x-x-x-documents.

Tuition

  • Domestic student : 5,612,000 – 6,800,000KRW/year
  • International student
    • International students will be offered minimum 30% international students scholarship
    • International student will get exemption of the entrance fee

Overseas Intensive
English Study Scholarship 		Intensive English study abroad for globalization and development of
potential/ Overseas Culture Visit / Voluntary Activities abroad / Global Experience
Program will be given to any students selected by Scholarship Committee.
The selectees are supposed to submit a report of what they have done.
Any students qualified for the above-mentioned programs can participate
without regard to the number of the programs attended. 		Airfare, accommodation

Global Internship Scholarship Grant offered to any participants in Global Internship Program 30 % of the amount
of government grant
In-depth Course Scholarship In-depth course recruits receive admission fee and 30 % of tuition fee
(double grant not available except for the Type 1 of KBU Family Scholarship
and Woodang Academic Achievement Scholarship)
Specialization Scholarship Depending on the contents of specialization program of respective
department; details are to be decided by the department administration plan
Part-time
work 		Choonghyo Scholarship Type 1 available for the students working for administrative bureaus,
department offices and laboratories from 09:00~17:00 or any free time 		6,100 won per hour
Type 2 6,100 won per hour

Welfare Seonduk Voluntary Activity
Scholarship 		Type 1 any laudable students with exemplary behavior 1 million won
Type 2 Any volunteer activity participants for the development of the school Half million won

Family Scholarship 		Type 1 any student whose family member has also registered at the school is eligible
for this scholarship on condition that the previous GPA is over 3.0
(the younger or the youngest only is eligible)
The GPA doesn’t apply at the admission semester of the new recruits. 		Half of the tuition
fee of the latest recruit
Type 2 available for any KBU students who are children of current or previous
professors or staff on condition that the previous GPA is over 2.5.
The GPA doesn’t apply at the admission semester of the new recruits.
The whole registration fee, admission fee included, is granted.
Type 3 When three or more family members are registered at KBU,
the latest admitted student is eligible for the exemption
of tuition fee on condition that the previous GPA is over 3.0
(the younger or the youngest only is eligible)

of KBU has been recognized or who are suffering from financial difficulties
are eligible for this scholarship base upon the recommendation
of the department in question.
Damage Victim Scholarship Any students living in National Disaster Area or suffering
from material damage from natural disaster are
eligible for this scholarship. 		Scholarship amount

Committee
others Kyungbok Mileage Scholarship Student activities are classified into academic aspect and
school work and accumulated in terms of mileage.
The mileage adopted for and converted into scholarship is limited to such
